Since 1998, Rebuild Michigan provided free energy management services to local governments and schools throughout our state. Rebuild Michigan was primarily funded by DOE’s Rebuild America program and was operated by our State Energy Office. After an 18-year run, where hundreds of local governments, public housing commissions and schools saved millions of dollars in energy costs, the program ended in 2015.
Kevin Cook of G-ENERGY was a 15-year Rebuild Michigan energy management consultant and provided energy audit and energy benchmarking services to nearly 200 program participants. Kevin now heads up the new and expanded Rebuild Michigan program serving Michigan’s local governments, public housing authorities, schools, colleges, churches and commercial businesses.

Rebuild Michigan Energy Services is a cooperative of energy professionals operating through both public and private funding. Our goal is to provide energy management services that include project development, management and implementation with no upfront cost and positive cash flow from day one, utilizing resources such as Michigan Saves, PACE, CGE Sustain and grants.
