HUD 5-Year Energy Audit

Our HUD 5-Year Energy Audit is a specific type of ASHRAE Level 2 Energy Audit. We use the same methodology as with a Level 2 (ASEAM) including whole building simulation… a computer model of the multifamily facility is developed according to extensive data gathered on site, annual utility use, and weather files for the specific location. The computer model is tested and revised for accuracy, and is then modified with energy saving measures to determine their impact. Computer simulations are the basis for the energy analysis data used for the report.

Our HUD 5-Year Energy Audit meets State, Federal and HUD requirements for energy audits and analyzes all energy conservation measures that are pertinent to the type of buildings and equipment operated by public housing authorities. Because this audit is specific to multifamily facilities, we recommend it for all apartment buildings and complexes, public or private. Typical cost ranges from $2,500 to $5000 depending on the size of the multifamily facility.
